Cyber Threat Intelligence Internship

Location: London/TheHague/Hybrid

Duration: 6-12 months

SecAlliance is open to taking on interns to work for a fixed-term period. A SecAlliance internship offers you the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge you acquired during your studies and get abetter understanding of what working in the world of cyber threat intelligence entails.

About SecAlliance

SecAlliance delivers cyber threat intelligence services to banks,central banks, financial market infrastructures, governmental and EU agencies,international organisations, and critical national infrastructure operators(telco, power grid, transport). We help these organisations and their ecosystems to strengthen their cyber resilience and make the right decisions.

As intern, you will support a range of products for our clients, including the monitoring of their threat landscapes, digital footprint, as well as contributing to research projects.

About you

We are seeking individuals with a strong and mature work ethic and with a passion for cyber security and geopolitics. SecAlliance have roles available both in our strategic and tactical analyst teams. As such, we are seeking interns that have an academic background in – for example - social sciences, humanities, anthropology or in computer science. Students, including PhD students, or recent graduates can apply.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting open source intelligence collection using various tools and sources
  • Analysing the collected data so that it can be leveraged in our clients’ products
  • Contributing to writing alerts, reports, and other forms of intelligence output.
  • Working under operational time pressure, self-managing tasks, meeting deadlines in support of client requirements.

Preferred interests and skills:

  • An interest in the cyber threat landscape
  • An understanding the nature of cyber-attacks (data breaches, ransomware, state-sponsored espionage)
  • Ability to read and write to a high standard
  • A high level of professionalism, focus, and emotional maturity
  • Foreign language capabilities,especially Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin and/or Japanese

The successful candidates will receive an allowance during their internship.
